Club Member Tim Udall gave an most interesting talk entitled “Vets, Publicans and Farmers – A History of the Veterinary Profession in Crewkerne” This being augmented with slides and illustrations of early veterinary instruments and practice. Thanks to Tim for many facts and procedures that would be news to most members. During the presentation Tim passed around two books for members to view, both dated 1904 and were Horses, Dogs, Birds and Cattle – Accidents and Ailments by Elliman and Sons, and First Aid and Veterinary Practice at Home by Day Son and Hewitt.
